Selena’s new diamond-studded ‘J’ ring wasn’t just a pre-Valentine’s day gift — it was a pre-ENGAGEMENT ring! Do you think they’ll last forever?
Selena Gomez, 19, shared a pic on Instagram on Feb. 12 of a ring in the shape of a ‘J’ with the message “I’m finally home” during a romantic date with boyfriend Justin Bieber, 17, in New York City. And now a new report claims the super cute gesture was Justin’s way of promising Selena he’ll be with her forever.
“It was kind of a pre-engagement ring, really,” a source tells OK! magazine. “They’re too young to get married, but they are just head over heels in love with each other and they want to spend the rest of their lives together…It symbolizes their intention to be together for a long time.”
This comes almost a year after the pair stepped out holding hands at the Vanity Fair Oscar party on Feb. 27, 2011. From tropical romantic getaways around the world to Mariah Yeater accusing Justin of being her baby’s daddy, the two young lovebirds have definitely had a whirlwind of a year, but are stronger than ever.
“They are 100 percent monogamous — Justin has girls throwing themselves at him all the time, but they are essentially invisible to him,” the source tells the mag. “Her never misses an opportunity to tell Selena how beautiful she is.”
Do you think Justin and Selena will stay together forever?

Justin Bieber is doing everything he can to give Carly Rae Jepsen a running start in the American music business. He has been promoting her on Twitter and using every chance he gets to talk up her talent. Carly just signed with Scooter Braun and Justin is eager to help launch her career.
The 26-year-old Carly got a huge boost when Justin and his lady, Selena Gomez, got together in the video for, “Call Me Maybe.” The song has skyrocketed on the charts since Justin’s touch got involved.
Carly flew to Los Angeles to meet her new team on Monday. She got right down to business and judging by the tweets from Justin and Carly; they hopped in the studio together. Carly tweeted, “I finally got to say thank you in person. Ps @kukharrell @justinbieber and I may have worked on a little song tonight.” A picture of Justin with his arm around Carly in a dark studio confirms the studio setting.
Justin had positive things to say about Carly and tweeted, “my first impression of @carlyraejepsen – kind, talented, and the real deal. this is going to be fun. welcome to the team.” He followed that tweet with a coy message, “..and oh yeah…we might have done a little song. J”
So what does the elder Carly think of the teenage sensation? “My first impression of @justinbieber : he is passionate, talented, charming and did I mention talented? He writes hits like its easy. Wow.” Beliebers will be a little jealous of Carly. While she was hanging out in the studio with Justin, she got the chance to listen to his new music. She is duly impressed, “In the studio with @justinbieber. Listening to his new stuff and it’s blowing my mind!”
As far as whose album will get the collaboration, it is anybody’s guess. Justin has been working with a lot of different people on his new album. It does not seem like there could be much more room on it.
Black Eyed Peas’ Will.i.am says his new album will contain duets with Cheryl Cole, Alicia Keys and Justin Bieber.
The rapper said he was “really excited” about the record, which will have cameos from “a whole bunch of other folks”, including dance act LMFAO.
Called #WillPower, the record has already produced a hit single, The Hardest Ever, featuring Mick Jagger.
Will.i.am was speaking at the Brits, where Tinie Tempah and Dizzee Rascal also announced new albums.
Tinie Tempah – winner of best single and breakthrough at last year’s Brits – revealed the follow-up to his debut, Disc-Overy would be called Demonstration.
He told Radio 1′s Newsbeat that the album would reflect current news events like the Arab Spring and the Occupy movement.
“Demonstration covers a lot of the things that have been going on around the world, especially in London,” said the 23-year-old.
“I want to be in correlation with such an incredible time in the world’s history.”
Dizzee Rascal also said his first album since 2009′s Tongue N’ Cheek would be ready “by the summer”.
“It’s all sounding pretty upbeat, stuff for the festivals, for the clubs, a bit of radio stuff,” he told the BBC.
“Tonight’s my night off – but it’s about halfway done.”
A snippet of “Live My Life” was played by LMFAO on Feb. 13 at Marquee Las Vegas, and we can’t wait to hear the full version.
